Tetrax arrives and tells them the Omnitrix is broadcasting a self-destruct signal. Tetrax and Ben go to find the creator of the Omnitrix to fix it before it destroys itself and the universe along with it. Gwen stows away to help her cousin.

So when an alien presence is detected in Susan's hometown of Modesto, California -- right before Halloween -- the team is dispatched to investigate. But when Halloween arrives, those innocent-looking carved pumpkins reveal themselves for what they really are mutant aliens.
