Clancy Chassay is a writer, director, actor, and journalist. Chassay appeared as a child actor in two films by Derek Jarman - "Wittgenstein" and "War Requiem".

He was a correspondent for the Guardian newspaper from the outbreak of the Lebanon war in July 2006 and was based in Beirut.
